How many years can I register/renew my .nz domain name for?
.nz and .com domain names can be registered and renewed for a term between 1 and 10 years. com.au names can only be registered and renewed for 2 years.

How do I renew my domain name?

1. Online - Visit the 'Name Holder Tools' page (see menu on the left) and type the domain name you wish to renew in the 'Renew Domain Name' box. Proceed to Name Holder Tools page.

2. Telephone - Contact our Customer Service Team on +64 4 473 4567 or 0800 366 2469

3. Fax Or Post - Download and complete an Update Renewal Term Form.

Can I renew my name now even if it is not due until later in the year?
Yes you can. You can now renew your domain name at any time. The number of years you select for your renewal will be added to your renewal/expiry date.

What are the advantages of registering for longer?
The longer your registration, the more security your brand or company name has and the less chance that you'll forget to renew and lose your name to someone else. Multiple year registration will also reduce the amount of administration time you spend on your domain names.

How much does it cost to register longer?

If I have several domain names on my account, are they all due for renewal at the same time?
Your domain names renewal/expiry date is determined by the date the domain name was originally registered. You can however chose to renew your domain name all at the same time by using our 'View and update renewal terms for my domains' feature. The selected term will be added to the renewal date of each domain name. Talk to us about how we can help you manage your renewal dates for multiple names more easily.

Can I pay for my Web and Email Services for multiple years?
Domainz Web and Email Services only renew annually. This is intended to give customers the flexibility to change and grow their internet presence as their businesses change.

How do I pay for updating the registration term?
When you update your registration term online or over the phone, you will be asked to pay by credit card at the time. If you would prefer to pay by cheque or direct credit you can do so by using the Update Renewal Term Form
